The winter dry season, roughly December to April, is the most popular window and brings the calmest, clearest water — the classic reliable choice. The northeastern Caribbean does sit in the hurricane belt, so the shoulder months of late summer and early autumn carry the most tropical-storm risk; travel insurance and flexible plans are the sensible hedge. Water temperatures run warm and comfortable for most of the year. Trade winds can stir the surface in the afternoon, so mornings consistently give the flattest, clearest conditions at the exposed sites.
