Japan appears in our catalog as Okinawa, and that is the whole of our coverage: the country's southern island prefecture, a subtropical Pacific reef that runs warm enough for a rashguard in summer and cool enough that a wetsuit is usual in winter. One honest note belongs on the national page rather than in a footnote — Kabira Bay on Ishigaki is a no-swim bay, so it is the view and not a snorkel site.
